Junk Removal and Property Care in Clarkston
Clarkston is a tiny, National-Register historic village in northern Oakland County that packs Victorian storefronts, a millpond, and a walkable Main Street into just 0.44 square miles, making it the smallest city by land area in the entire state. Founded around 1830s grist and saw mills, its formal name is the wonderfully redundant 'City of the Village of Clarkston.' Just outside its borders sits Pine Knob Music Theatre, one of the busiest outdoor amphitheaters in the country, so a village of under 1,000 people shares its name with a stage that draws millions. The Independence post office was transferred to the community on December 12, 1840.
Local landmarks and gathering spots include The Clarkston Village Historic District along Main Street (M-15); Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen, set inside a converted historic church building. Comedian Tim Robinson (Saturday Night Live, 'I Think You Should Leave') is from Clarkston, and comic-book writer Geoff Johns is associated with the area per Wikipedia.
At only 0.44 square miles it is the smallest city by land area in Michigan, yet its population density is over 2,000 people per square mile. Anchor destination dining draws visitors from across metro Detroit, notably the Clarkston Union Bar & Kitchen (housed in a former church) and Andiamo Trattoria. Throughout Clarkston, we take care of appliance and furniture removal, yard upkeep, storm cleanup and moving help for homes and businesses alike.
